In addition to its healthcare efforts, Mehad aims to communicate the health and humanitarian conditions in the regions where we operate through testimonial and advocacy activities. We will continue to raise public awareness about the urgent need for action, educate and inform the community, and remind decision-makers of their responsibilities to implement the necessary policies and actions to improve the conditions for the populations we assist, as long as they lack access to a proper and sustainable healthcare system.

In 2024, the humanitarian situation in Syria is the worst it has been since the conflict began in 2011. Over 13 years of war have left the country in ruins, with devastating consequences for its population. In the face of these immense needs, the response from international donors is drastically insufficient, with only 6% of the required funding secured for 2024. Mehad has launched a petition to denounce this indifference from the international community.
