I’ve been involved with Mehad since he was born, and as a medical student at the time, I wanted to raise public awareness of the issue of sexual violence as a weapon of war in conflict zones. This commitment took shape when I became a psychiatrist specialising in psycho-trauma and became involved in supporting communications and missions to promote the mental health of victims of war and its consequences over several generations.
Being a member of the Board today is a continuation of this commitment, enabling me to take a more active role in these projects.

It has been a year since I embraced my role as a Finance Coordinator at Mehad. I was drawn to the chance to work internationally and the positive, collaborative environment fostered by a supportive, goal-oriented team. The good energy, mutual respect, and opportunities for skill development make each day fulfilling. Some of my highlights include receiving donor approvals and celebrating significant milestones—witnessing and sharing the joy with everyone is incredibly rewarding. Who would have imagined that finance could be this enjoyable?
