First coordination meeting for the health sector in Al-Raqqa province

Mehad hosted the first coordination meeting for the health sector in Raqqa governorate, in the presence of the Director of Raqqa Health, led by representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO), and with the participation of representatives of international and local organisations working in the health sector in the governorate.

During the meeting, participants emphasised their commitment to continue providing essential health services and supporting the health sector in Raqqa, with a focus on responding to the urgent and strategic needs presented by the Health Directorate.

Mehad’s Mission Director in Syria, Dr Jamal Kaby Koly, stressed that Mehad will continue to provide primary and secondary healthcare services in coordination with local health authorities and partners.

1212 — For his part, the Director of Raqqa Health, Dr Abdullah al-Hamoud, sent a message to all organisations working on the ground, calling on them to continue to provide health services and strengthen joint efforts to serve the local community and support the health system in the province.
