Middle East: reactions following the Houthis’ takeover of the Yemeni coast

In Yemen, government forces are attempting to retake the territory seized by the Houthis during their lightning offensive this week. On Saturday 12 September, the Yemeni government, backed by Saudi Arabia, said it was targeting rebel fighters from the air. Reactions, particularly from Iran and the US, were not long in coming.
