Since 2021,Mehad has worked tirelessly to rebuild and support healthcare infrastructure in Syria. As part of this commitment, we have undertaken the restoration and reopening of the radiology unit at the national hospital in Raqqa, a crucial step towards providing accessible medical care in the region.

Since its reopening, our radiology centre has provided X-ray and CT scan services to more than 1,322,406 people. These accurate diagnoses are essential to our commitment to supporting the health of communities in the region.

Mr Ziad: a token of gratitude and hope

Mr Ziad, a resident of Raqqa and beneficiary of our radiology centre, emphasised the need for such facilities in Raqqa and throughout northern and eastern Syria, particularly given the difficult living conditions.

Having visited the centre on three occasions, including for an X-ray after breaking his leg, Mr Ziad expressed his hope that the centre would continue to operate. He particularly praised the courtesy and professionalism of our staff, which he considers to be the most impressive aspect of our service.

Mehad remains committed to supporting the Raqqa radiology unit and other healthcare initiatives in the region, helping to rebuild and revitalise healthcare systems in conflict-affected areas.
