The centre includes several clinics, including an emergency clinic, a paediatric clinic, an inpatient clinic, a women’s clinic, a dental clinic, and a nutrition clinic, to ensure comprehensive primary health care that meets the needs of different age groups. The centre also includes a mental health and community health team, which works to spread health awareness and promote health awareness among residents, as well as provide psychological counselling and psychological support to those in need.
With the continued support of MEHAD, the centre provides patients with essential medicines, which enhances the efficiency of the medical services provided. Despite the economic and health challenges faced by the region, the centre continues to provide its services, receiving approximately 250 beneficiaries daily, reflecting the urgent need for these services and the importance of continued support to ensure their sustainability.
Since its establishment, the Al Sousa Centre has contributed to improving the health situation in the area, providing free medical care, easing the financial burdens on the population, in light of the difficult economic conditions. The presence of the emergency clinic enhances the speed of response to critical cases, and the two women’s and children’s clinics provide the necessary health care for mothers and children.
The Sousa Primary Health Care Centre is a successful example of a health facility that plays a vital role in meeting the needs of local communities, and reflects MEHAD’s commitment to supporting the health sector in medically underserved areas. With continued support, we hope to expand the scope of services provided and reach as many beneficiaries as possible, to ensure better health and a more stable future for the residents of the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.
