At the Vinnytsia regional rehabilitation centre, Mehad led a goniometry training course for physiotherapists. This initiative is part of the ongoing rehabilitation programme for war-wounded people in Ukraine.
The importance of goniometry in the rehabilitation process

Goniometry is an essential technique for accurately measuring the amplitude of joint movement, which then enables the patient’s condition to be assessed, an individual rehabilitation plan to be drawn up and the progress of recovery to be monitored.
An essential tool for dealing with complex war injuries
In a climate of constant war, specialists are faced with complex injuries, ranging from shrapnel wounds to amputations and post-traumatic shock. Knowledge of goniometry is therefore of crucial importance.

This tool helps therapists provide quality care, giving victims back the chance to move and live their lives to the full.
Training in direction finding not only improves the skills of specialists, but also gives hope of recovery to those who have endured the trauma of war.
