Happy holidays, but the war continues in Ukraine and Syria.

24 December 2022

As the year draws to a close, Professor Raphaël Pitti, Head of Mehad Training, has a message of solidarity and humanity for all those who follow Mehad’s work. We want to share with you our humanitarian commitment to health, regardless of our allegiances.

Defending human dignity is what drives us!

“I’d like to wish you all a very happy festive season. Thank you for following us and supporting Ukrainians and Syrians month after month. The end-of-year period is marked by moments of reunion, sharing and memories with our loved ones, as we celebrate family, joy and love. The war continues, however, and my thoughts go out to those who are under bombardment, in displacement camps and far from their loved ones. On this special day and at this crucial time of year, I am once again appealing to your generosity.

Fortunately, thanks to your mobilisation, I am full of hope for the new year ahead. Mehad will continue to save lives, train carers* and fight to provide universal access to healthcare in conflict zones.

Prof. Raphael Pitti.

*Training provided in partnership with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and La Chaîne de l’Espoir.
