The Central Laboratory Unit at the National Hospital in Raqqa, supported by MEHAD, received 3-year-old Jakdar Mahmoud from Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa, for a comprehensive blood test (CBC) as part of the preparations for a tonsillectomy operation.

After visiting the specialist doctor at the outpatient clinic, Jakdar was found to be suffering from chronic tonsillitis, which required a tonsillectomy.

Before proceeding with the surgery, the doctor recommended a comprehensive analysis to ensure the child’s readiness for the operation.

Thanks to the efficiency of the laboratory team, the analyses were carried out quickly and accurately, which facilitated the operation, and the child’s father expressed his gratitude for the organisation’s support, especially in terms of reducing the cost of the analyses compared to private laboratories, as well as the quality of the service and the kindness he received.

At MEHAD, we continue to provide outstanding medical services that aim to ease the burdens of our people in the region and provide high standards of healthcare.
