In a pioneering humanitarian move, the mobile clinic launched on 7 December 2024, supported by MEHAD, continues to provide free medical services to displaced people coming from the Shahba areas, in a rapid response to the urgent health needs of this population.
Among the beneficiaries of these services is 25-year-old Daoud Ziad, who was displaced with his family from Shahba to Suwaidiya al-Wusta school in Tabqa city. Daoud, who lives with his four-month pregnant wife and two-year-old daughter Elfana, expresses his deep thanks to the mobile clinic that helped his family get the necessary medical care.
Daoud said: “My wife receives regular follow-ups with the midwife, and the clinic also provides her with vitamins for pregnancy, which relieves us of a lot of anxiety. Today, I was examined because I have crepitus, and treatment was provided.
Daoud added: Since we arrived in Tabqa, the mobile clinic has been our only source of health care, not just treatment, but reassurance for our hearts under difficult circumstances, especially with my wife’s pregnancy and my young daughter.
This mobile clinic is a vital model in providing health care to those in need in difficult circumstances, and contributes significantly to alleviating the suffering of the displaced and providing them with integrated medical care, whether for treatment or prevention.
The continued support of MEHAD makes this humanitarian initiative possible, allowing the beneficiaries of the clinic to access quality medical services, and represents a new hope for many families struggling in displacement.
