Believing in the importance of this humanitarian work, Mohammed sends a message to healthy young people, calling on them to contribute to saving lives by donating blood, emphasising that every donation can save a life. Donating blood is not just a charitable act, but a humanitarian and moral duty that promotes the values of solidarity and solidarity among members of society.
In his inspiring words, Mohammed said: “God gave us health and wellness, why don’t we help?”, calling on everyone to join this noble initiative that reflects the values of compassion and social solidarity.
Dr Asia Al Khalaf, Supervisor of the Blood Bank Unit in Raqqa, explained that the holy month of Ramadan presents a great challenge in securing the necessary blood units for patients, due to the low number of donors during this period, which places an additional burden on patients who rely on frequent blood transfusions, such as thalassaemia patients.
Dr Asia pointed out that donating blood is not only a humanitarian act, but also carries many health benefits for donors, as it helps stimulate blood circulation, reduces the risk of some heart diseases, and stimulates the production of new blood cells, which enhances the overall health of donors.
She concluded by calling on members of the community to donate blood, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that this simple step can save the lives of many patients.
“Every drop of blood donated can save a life, so let’s make donating a habit, especially at times when patients need it the most,” she said.
