Our appeal: the Syrian abyss and international abandonment

Paris 13 February 2023 After the shock of the terrible earthquake in Turkey and Syria, the toll is heavy. More than 30,000 dead, including 3,574 in Syria according to the latest count, tens of thousands injured, homeless people out in the cold. The very next day, our teams in the Idleb region began distributing food and emergency cold kits to the victims.
In Paris, in an article to be published in Libération today, Monday 13 February, Professor Raphaël Pitti and Dr Ziad Alissa de Mehad (Ex-UOSSM France) call on French President Emmanuel Macron to ensure that the international aid that is currently non-existent is commensurate with the cataclysm of the earthquake: “The Syrian abyss and international abandonment” They are calling for a mobile hospital to be set up on the Syrian-Turkish border, for a new humanitarian corridor to be opened at Bab Al-Salam and for the last open humanitarian corridor at Bab Al-Hawa to be renewed.
