Our mission in Ukraine aims to strengthen the medical capacity of the war-torn country. Against a backdrop of war and humanitarian crisis, Mehad is committed to supporting the health professionals who are working tirelessly to cope with these exceptional circumstances.

To meet these challenges, we have set up essential training courses in Lviv and Kharkiv, aimed at providing expertise in war medicine and first aid. Our aim is clear: to prepare healthcare professionals to intervene effectively in emergency situations.

Recently, stress management training was organised for Ukrainian police and officers, thanks to collaboration with the European Commission. The training took place at an emblematic venue in Kyiv and highlighted the crucial importance of stress management in public safety.

The importance of stress management training

Stress is ubiquitous in the lives of many professionals, particularly those working under pressure, such as police officers. It can have devastating consequences for physical and mental health, quality of work and decision-making.

Recent training in Ukraine has given police officers the tools they need to deal constructively with stress, teaching stress management techniques and psychological first aid, as well as teaching them how to support others in reducing stress.

Working with the European Commission

The training was made possible thanks to collaboration between qualified Mehad trainers and the European Commission. The fact that the course was held in an iconic location in Kyiv added to its importance, demonstrating the commitment to improving public safety.

Supporting medical training, including stress management, is essential for the country’s development. It strengthens the country’s ability to face challenges while preserving the mental and physical health of the police and officers who protect and serve citizens.
