In the midst of war, when healthcare systems collapse and essential services disappear, men and women continue to provide care. They stay, despite the fear, despite the difficulties.
But today, their mission is in danger, exposed to violence and extreme conditions.
Every day, five carers die for trying to save lives.
Where war destroys, they rebuild: they save children, assist births, stabilise the wounded, reassure families.
Together with you, we can help them continue their mission.
Let’s help them to heal. Let’s help them rebuild.

STORIES OF COURAGE
- Shahla is 27 years old. Since 2021, she has been a laboratory technician for Mehad in Raqqa, Syria. Her blood tests are used to manage and treat thousands of patients.
- Yousef is a paediatrician at Lawdar Hospital in Yemen, the only health facility in operation in the region. Thanks to him and his colleagues, more than 1,400 children under the age of 5 are treated there every month.
- Sergei is a physiotherapist. Every day, he teaches war amputees to walk again at our rehabilitation centre in Vinnystia, Ukraine.
- Khadija is a midwife at the Al-Karama health centre in Syria. Where war has destroyed everything, she brings life back to life.
Behind every face is an essential mission: to care, despite everything. And your support makes it possible
Your gift protects those who protect others
Thanks to your support, Mehad can continue to provide care:
- keeping open health centres threatened with closure,
- providing medical teams with vital equipment,
- providing training, back-up and psychological support for teams,
- by deploying mobile clinics where hospitals can no longer hold out
Together, we can help them to heal and rebuild where war has destroyed everything:
