In June 2025, our team is setting off on another exploratory mission to Yemen. The aim is to reassess the health situation and humanitarian needs on the ground, almost a year after our mission began.
But we already know that the humanitarian crisis, which was already considered one of the worst in the world last year, has worsened in recent months: escalating tensions, population displacements, floods and famine: Yemen, forgotten by everyone, urgently needs our support.

According to the latest data, food is critically lacking in 3 out of 5 Yemeni households, and 80% of the population lives below the poverty line (source: OCHA).
As for health conditions, they are deteriorating at an alarming rate: while the country is affected by the highest incidence of cholera in the world (source WHO), inadequate funding led, for example, to the closure of 84% of centres offering treatment for diarrhoea and 62% of facilities offering oral rehydration therapy between March and December last year.

In the face of this critical situation, our commitment to the Lawdar hospital, in one of the most isolated and dangerous regions of the country, remains intact. Every month, there are :
- More than 6,000 patients received consultations;
- More than 1,200 surgical procedures and more than 1,000 medical imaging examinations (X-rays, ultrasounds, etc.);
- And 45 children suffering from acute malnutrition were treated.
This is the only functioninghospital in the entire region. Tens of thousands of people depend on it. However, due to a lack of funding, our support for this hospital is also on hold.
We need your support to enable us to continue our work at Lawdar Hospital. Thank you in advance!
